Job Description : The role holder will be responsible for the planning and ordering of materials in line with Primary Planning system tool and production demand / forecast. His/her responsibility is to ensure the proper implementation of Material Planning process and assure the supply performance according to the demands of the plant with supply partners and control process of deliveries to the plant.
Education Qualification: Full time B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
Experience Required : Minimum work experience of 0 to 3+ years in Automobile industry
Skills:
Sound knowledge in Logistics process and SAP/ERP.
Good knowledge of MS office.
Specialized knowledge concerning the interconnection of Material Control systems.
Analytical and decision making skills.
Knowledge of supply planning processes including packing, transport, material flow, and logistic costs.
Proficiency in English; German would be an advantage.
Supplier handling experience.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not expressly limited to the below):
To manage and ensure the proper implementation of Material Planning process within a defined part spectrum and to control the process of deliveries to plant.
To steer and manage Material availability in all aspects for smooth Production by liaising with central material planning, supplier, internal partners on demand, parts availability, replenishment information and shipping details.
Maintaining all relevant master data in SAP such as Material Master Data, Info record, Schedule agreement, Schedule lines and MRP parameters for all parts in coordination with Purchasing, finance for price / info record related topics and with central function team, change co-ordination for part no. or supplier related information.
Assure the supply performance according to the demands of the plant / partner / central office, taking into account the shipping schedules, flight schedules, transport mode and the varying supply terms.
Liaising with customs / local suppliers and physical logistics on container / material availability and call -off.
Development and optimization of the process by taking into account the adjacent specialist areas within the production and supplier network.
Obsolete parts monitoring and control for all Materials in Plant.
Generating weekly and monthly reports regarding material planning targets and objectives.
Ensure proper communication to the suppliers based on the agreed supplier communication protocol on the forecast demands, production dates and call offs.
Communication to supplier regarding Emergency changes in production volume forecast and Lot sequencing changes there by to ensure continuous Lot sequencing.
Maintain and Monitor SAP platform for a Complete database to ensure transparency in overall process.
Monitor the supply performance on a daily basis thereby to ensure the adherence of service level agreement.
Follow-up, negotiate and monitor the rejected claims with supplier / users thereby to ensure the reduction of claim rejection.
Implementation of automation technique in ordering of parts which results in effective and stabilized process.
Develop and define process strategy (for reducing the order of non-conforming parts for in the reduction of the Cost/vehicle and continuous smooth production.
